Sinopsis:
Jung's Map of the Soul yang ditulis oleh Murray Stein. Murray Stein memaparkan pemikiran Jung tentang kepribadian manusia. Jung berpendapat bahwa kepribadian manusia itu terdiri dari beberapa lapisan. Lapisan paling luar disebut Persona yang diibaratkan public face, yang artinya bagian diri yang sengaja ditunjukkan kepada orang lain. Lapisan berikutnya disebut Anima atau Animus, yakni bagian untuk memahami lawan jenis. Lapisan berikutnya yaitu Shadow, berisikan lapisan yang mengerikan di dalam diri manusia. Lapisan terakhir disebut The Self, atau bagian inti kepribadian manusia. Lapisan yang berisi pemikiran untuk mengajak manusia untuk lebih mengenal dirinya sendiri dari lapisan paling luar hingga inti kepribadian masing-masing individu.

Review :

The book is an explanation of Carl Gustav Jung's (Carl Jung's theory) of the field of psychology. Carl Jung was born in 1875 and graduated in 1900 from the University of Basel, Switzerland as a doctor. And Jung's Map of the Soul about Jung's theory in a human personality written by Murray Stein, where Jung argues that human personality has several layers.

🍀Ego as a center of awareness is a form of the mirror and they can see and be conscious of themselves.

🍀 Persona is defined as a character or ‘social mask’ we are using in our social world. Persona is the social construction of adoption to be adopted in any situation, so that's why referred to as the character of the situation.

🍀 The shadows (Shading)
It is sub-personality that is paired with Persona. Shading is a silhouette of ourselves that follows in the back when we walk towards the light. Like part of ourselves that we are hiding a don't want to show in the world because it has properties that are contrary to morality.

🍀Anima/Animus polarization and feminine, where Anima is femininity and Animus are masculine. The explanation of Anima/Animus here is quite interesting in my opinion where Jung argues that every gender has masculine and feminine qualities at once.

🍀 Self (Self), the last layer, and Jung say that You are the center of a personal myth. That has relations with religious things. And Jung also mentioned that Individualisation as a manifestation of Yourself, Individuals as a process of childhood, discovery of self step by step.

*Intinya buku ini sangat bagus untuk menambah wawasan tentang Psikologi dan jujur perlu beberapa kali diulang membacanya agar maksudnya lebih mudah dipahami dan kita bisa memahami makna bacaanya😂
